This research examines the teaching qualifications of geography student teachers undergoing their teaching practicum at Sathit Junior Secondary School during the 2023–2024 academic year. The study focuses on geography teacher trainees from Pakse Teacher Training College. The population for this research includes administrators, teachers, and junior high school students, totalling 140 individuals, including 69 women. The sample group consists of 103 participants, comprising administrators, teachers, and junior high school students, with 65 women. The research utilizes a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool, and statistical analysis is conducted using the mean and standard deviation. The study identified nine aspects of teaching efficiency, which were generally rated at a very good performance level. These include encouragement, the use of questioning techniques, and classroom management. However, the study found that the use of teaching materials was at a moderate performance level, with a mean value of 3.46 (S.D. = 0.66). The findings suggest that further investigation is needed to enhance the quality of teaching among student teachers during their practicum, particularly in the use of teaching materials.
